06-26-09   I think today unlike yesterday, when we found out the amount of people loosing their jobs went UP, causing the markets to celebrate and reward the "Free Market System " for cutting Expenses, (that's jobs to us working people, and were considered expenses to the cooperation's).

Well today I think the the good news for working people (the ever shrinking middle class) is that our have savings rate is the highest it has been in15 years. Wall street is not going to like that because you are putting it in a bank at .001% interest, and NOT SPENDING IT ON CRAP FROM COMMUNIST RED CHINA!

The Australian airline, said that it would cancel or defer delivery of 30, 787 Dreamliner aircraft, dealing a heavy blow to the U.S. manufacturer.

 I have a feeling the markets will decline today... it will be just another step down the road, heading to The Second Great Republican Depression.

 Why Not Restore The Old Car Making Model

 The Automakers should return to their original method of car production.
Rather then closing down dealer ships, why not use them as they were originally set up, a place that you went, to actually order a car the way you wanted it.

Automakers no longer would need to borrow billions of dollars to build cars that they think that they might sell.
They should go back to building cars on demand that people order.

With today's technology you should be able to go in and order a car with any power plant you want, weather it be gas, or electric, or a hybrid.
  

 The Automakers can then be more responsive to market demands, and less subject to pushing an outdated product that was built on the idea of 1 CEO rather then one the needs of the millions of people who is actually buying the car.

  Not too long ago when you wanted a new car, you went to a dealer and you sat down and told the sales person exactly what you wanted, much like today, except you looked at the showroom floor model, and picked from large display books and what today would be called 3D props. The only difference with today was you were not told after all that, well we could only find it in red, and no whatever., but we can add that in when we get the car here for an extra cost, but we have this car in your color but it has a larger engine, and a 12 speaker stereo system with DVD players for the kids, and it's only $3 thousand dollars more.

 I am sure with the modern computers, you can build a car to suit the individuals choices much faster than before, with computer fed assembly lines, computer controlled welding, computer controlled paint.

  Now you don't have thousands of acres all over the country filled with cars that no wants...you build the cars as needed.
The car makers can also use that as a means of advertising. They can now custom tailor a car to your exact needs.
The car makers can be in better control of quality as well as production, rather then producing cars to a possible sales quota, you produce cars for actual orders by actual people.

  Let's face it, cars are a major purchase now, with the average cost of $27,958. A car is no longer a $2 or $3 thousand dollar purchase, the way it was when the automakers started down this road of mas producing cars to no orders. Why should cars not be better tailored to your needs.

It removes the need for major capitol borrowing to fill those thousands of acres with cars and wait for them to sell so that they can repay the loans that were needed to buy the materials to produce the car in the first place. By doing that the auto makers no longer need nearly as much money to stay in business, because part of the cost of the car is already made up front to build the car to start, with a guaranteed final payment upon delivery.

 With that method it now becomes up to the dealer as to weather or not they want to remain in business, as to weather or not they can sell your product, because they only sell and service the brand, not push to sell your over produced quota.

It restores the original supply and demand market principals of; you demand manufacturing supply's, rather then manufacturing supplies now take what we got.  

Less Borrowing = less debt  + more responsive to market changes.

According to The Bureau of Labor Statistics another 663 more Americans lost their jobs, in March 2009.

El Centro, California, recorded the highest unemployment rate, 25.1 percent.

Merced, California, 20.4 percent; unemployment rate

Elkhart-Goshen, Indiana, 18.8 percent; unemployment rate

The "Stress Test" results as to the Health report of our banks, that was to be released today…Will not be till a later date.

You have to ask yourself this…

We have a new administration that has told us the unvarnished truth about our economy… 

That have told us about the unlawful and not to mention Un-American behavior of the previous Bush Administration use of torture, in commissioning and committing war crimes…

Now…now, they need more time to review the data?

You have to ask yourself...

 Just how bad is it?

Are they just buying time so that the changes in the mark to marketing rules can be pushed just a little bit more. Buying time to bump up the value of their “Toxic” assets.

Sadly the change to the mark to marketing rule only served to begin to re inflate the bubble economy.

What we are told that the "toxic Assets" that were worthless and they needed the government to give them money so that they could stay in business. 

Now they have our money while keeping their "Toxic Assets" they and still continuing to reposes homes (or toxic assets at the banks like to call them), by the thousands... getting the government to pay them off and suddenly they are now very valuable assets... 

Just look at our bottom line...see our "mark to marketing" rule change shows that they are now very valuable.

Same Junk, just a different name on a different day.

We are not out of the woods by no means yet.

04-23-09 Just The Facts...

Our county's combined industrial output has dropped by 13.3 percent since the recession began in December 2007. The largest decline since 1946

In the last 12 months, industrial production has declined by 12.8%

During the first quarter of 2009, annualized industrial output fell a staggering 20 percent.

Our nation's factories' output plummeted for five quarters in a row.

Capacity utilization at those factories has tumbled all the way down to 65.8 percent. The lowest rate since data was first collected in 1967.

One-third of the nation's manufacturing capacity is idle.

The National Retail Federation reported that retail sales dropped 1.1 percent in March and are down 10.6 percent from March 2008.

Orders for durable goods dropped 0.8 percent in March 2009

Ford Has Loss of $1.4 Billion in this last Quarter

At least 15 states are in various stages of considering or implementing furloughs.

New home sales are down.06% from last month

The Markets are going up again on the news that Corporate may be able to throw more workers

Under the buss. How? by not only dumping the Unions, but dump contractual responsibilities to their retirees as well.

03-17-09  Just Something To Ponder.

We were told that science has proven that in nature it is survival of the fittest… now thanks to the wonders of Capitalism… It’s survival of the richest.

It was once believed for centuries that the richest people were blessed by God and the proof they are blessed was the fact that they were Rich.

Well if you believe in God… then you must believe in the Devil… and if you believe in the Devil and just by the fact that the Devil is still alive after his eternal battling with God across the millenniums of time… Doesn’t that prove that the Devil cannot be destroyed by God… therefore the Devil must be a God as well…the extreme opposites, but a God nonetheless.

03-16-09  Consider this comparison of the "general fund" budget accounting practices, with "We the people". The principal of the "General Fund" is to share the benefits and risks of other branches of government.

So why can’t we agree that when we give the government our money and for that we all share in the benefits, like a National not for profit health care for all, backed by public education to continue to fill the need for doctors, nurses, teachers and engineers who will usher in our future.

So why is it such a stretch for Health care, or education to follow the same model as the "General Fund" which is already embraced by nearly all levels of government.

03-16-09 Markets Up Again?

Don't get to attached to the idea that all is well. The reason the markets have been going up for the last several days is because for the last few days the big money people on the inside has known that A.I.G. was taking "OUR MONEY" and dolling it out on the QT to other falling **banks, that were also getting money from the government.  Then AIG goes back to the government and says "Can I Have Some more", The Ultimate Double Dipping" with our money. It's not just the Bonuses that you should be concerned over it's that shinny object that they want you to see, while the real theft is in the double dipping... 170 Billion and counting. So while we are putting up the money they are paying them selves with it, and this time they don't have to pay one single worker a salary to earn it... FREE MONEY for them! Hold on it won't last or long another major drop is coming soon...very soon!

02-06-09 Last week unemployment went up to over 5000,000 new claims in a week 

This week it has now gone to 626,000, but we are told (Contrary to the republican platform of "Don't look back it's in the past"), wall street would rather you look back to hear the the numbers for December was 598,000 Job losses, in one month, as opposed to one week.

Wake up... Job Losses In DECEMBER?????

Now With a report of Of job losses the markets go up...Why? because you just got tossed under the buss while the Corporate heads still keep their multi million dollar pay checks and in some cases their Billion dollar bonuses. So it's good news for them, or is it...

I wonder at what point will it be till there are not enough people actually working at producing the product 

You can't keep eliminating jobs at the rate that are benign destroyed, till there is not enough people working to have the money to buy the products.

 On other item... Remember when the Bush administration was claiming we created 90,000 jobs or 100,00 jobs, it was pointed out that we needed to produce as least 125,00 new jobs just to keep pace with the growing work force, well no one talks about that number any more... but let's do. Add that number in to the current 600,000 and you are now at 725,00 unemployed.

And That's only for December.

Now...Are We There Yet!

Motorola to lay off 4,000 workers, Bank of America to lose 1,900 jobs in the City...  A Rise in unemployment last week was around 500,000 

A few short weeks ago we were told that if we do not bail out the auto industry that it would result in the firing of 3 million workers, and That would put us in a depression.

Well since then we have lost nearly 1.5 million jobs... Does that mean that we are half way there?

The Markets have lost nearly 50% of it's value to date and heading down... Like... 1929

Foreclosures are still going up.

71 Millionaires have Taken their own lives... Odd that someone is keeping track of millionaires killing themselves, the last time I remember that, was when?...  Oh yes it was during the Last Great Republican Depression Of 1929...

11-17-08  Someone Who Needs A House To Fall On Them To Know That Deregulation and Free Trade Is Like Mothers Milk To The Economy...Poisoned Milk That Is

Should I tell him... or do you want a to tell Mr. Phil Gramm that the Reagan era "Great lie" Is Now Laid Bare For All To See. 

Deregulation of our banks and markets have lead us to where we are today, on the door step of another Republican Great Depression. The Robber Barons have been robbing the government coffers under the disguise of free trade, which is code for they are going to ship your job over seas so that they can make more profit for themselves. 

Now consider this Labor accounts for only about 10% of a product's cost, so how greedy can these guys get? Apparently a lot more then you ever dreamed of. When these guys make millions as in William McGuire's case Billions (1.78 Billion to be exact) in bonus and pay checks. 

All of which nothing would exist without the worker. I would like to see how long a company could stay in business without someone making their products. Why is it that companies have so little respect for the one person that they cannot do without? Workers!

As Abraham Lincoln once said "Labor Precedes Capitol, for without labor Capitol would not exist"

If Labor is sooo important... why are we allowing ourselves to be marginalized and treated like the waste in our garbage cans?

How bright can these people be.

Apparently smarter then you thought, because they convinced you that free trade is good...

They convinced you deregulation is good...

Now we have not only seen our jobs eliminated, but now after 30, 40, and 50 years of working and saving for a retirement, through deregulating the banks and markets they now have your retirement accounts as well.

It's good to have your job go over seas to someone else, so that multi-national corporations have a new market to sell their stuff to... although it be at the expense of not only just your job, but the stability of our country as well.

The bottom line is how much of our best interest and the interest of our country do they have.

They talk a lot about Patriotism and the Flag and Apple Pie, just so long as it can be made over seas and they get to keep obscene amounts of profits, and Oh since they "Created a Job", they somehow should not pay any taxes. 

Why? 

Because they are now a global corporation, and because of that they should not pay taxes to no one...more money for them, and not for us, or America as well...

So Just how well is that Deregulating, Free Trade working out for US now?

11-11-08   It's beginning to look a lot like this ride is we call the economy is actually just starting... If History tells us anything, I think the collapsing will continue till 2010... I think that before it is all over the markets will be at between 3 to 5 thousand. It is conceivable that it could end at 1 to 2 thousand, which would be pre Reagan levels, who's policies were the catalyst that started the beginning of the end. 

    If you look at past recessions and Depression there are patterns that are emerging now that can tell us what to expect. If you want to know how bad it will be, History showers us that the longer the slide to the bottom the worse it will be. In the last Great Republican Depression it started in 1929 but it didn't hit bottom till 1932. This Current Republican Depression started 2007 and if it continues down that Road of 1929 the slide will not end till at least 2010.

Then We Need Begin To Investigate George W. Bush, & Dick Cheney For Their Part In Altering The Intel Information To Get Us Into An Ill-Legal War.

We Need To Investigate War Profiteers Like Halliburton, & Backwater.

Yes This Is Only The Very Short List Of Things That Need To Be Started, And We Need To Be More Involved Then Ever Before In The Process Of Our Government, We Need To Be On The Phones Calling Our Senators And Congressmen And Tell Them What We Want, After All The Past Model Has Bin A "Pay To Play", Meaning That Corporations Have Pored Millions Of Dollars Into The Past Administrations, And Then Demanded That The Senators Had To "Pay Back The Favor"... Well Now It Has Bin "Us" The Little Guy Who Paid The Bill, And Now We Need To Be The One To "Call In The Favors".

Now Is The Time For National Health Care,

Now Is The Time For Renewable Energy, and Put To Rest The Use Of Oil Just As We Did With Stone Knives & Buggy Whips.

Now Is The Time To End The Privatization Of America.

Now Is The Time To Stop Privatized Corporate Controlled And Run Sections Of Our Commons From Feeding The Wealth, By Theft Of The Commons, By Their Demanding That More And More Of Our Behavior Be Criminal And We The People Get Sent To Jail. Did You Know That We Incrassate In Not Only In Percent, But In Overall Numbers, More People Than Communist Red China, And They Have A much Larger Population.

Now Is The Time To End The Persecution And Imprisonment Of Individuals For Using Marijuana For Medical Use. Which By The Way Back In The 70'S A Government Commission Found That Marijuana Should Not Be Ill-legal. It Should Barely Be A Controlled Substance, Like Alcohol. 

And Just To Shine Some Light On The Elephant, ... No Make That The Herd Of Elephants In The Room. Marijuana  Has Proven To Now Be The Only Substance That Can STOP Alzheimer's Disease, And Treat ALS, Diabetes Mellitus, Dystonia Fibromyalgia, GI Disorders, Gliomas, Hepatitis C, HIV, Hypertension, Incontinence, Multiple Sclerosis, Osteoporosis, Pruritis, Rheumatoid Arthritis, Sleep Apnea, Tourette's Syndrome, And Cause Some Forms Of Cancer To Go Into Remission, Or Not Begin At All. SO MY POINT IS THIS, IF IT CAN WORK ON ALL THESE ILLNESS, AND WE WILL DRINK ORANGE JUICE AND TAKE VITAMINS TO PREVENT ILLNESS WHY NOT DECIMALIZE MARIJUANA, SO THAT IT CAN BE ANOTHER TOOL IN PROTECTING OUR HEALTH. Now Is Not The Time To Be Afraid, Now Is The Time To Remember The Words Of FDR... "The Only Thing We Have To Fear...But Fear Itself". Which By The Way When He Used That Statement It Was In Reference To The Great Republican Depression Of 1929.

We Must Work To Break The Strangle Hold Of Corporate America On Our Lives, And Have Corporations Restored to "Servants Of The Economy"... And Not Owners Of The Economy.

Now We Must Stop The Privatizing Of Our Nation, And Reclaim The Commons... We Must Work To Change Health Care From A For Profit Corporation, But Change It Back To A Non Profit Status. After all Profiting From Someone Death or Illness On A Par With War Profiteering.

We Need To Take Back Our Monetary System From Private Hands And Put It Back In The Hands Of Our Government, So It Does Not Cost Our Country Every time We Need To Use Our Money.

Now Is The Time To Either Fix NAFTA, CAFTA, GAT, And All The Rest Of The Alphabet Soup, With Import Tariffs So That If A American Corporation Wants To Save A Buck On Labor By Going Overseas Then Let Them Pay A Import Tax equivalent To The Labor Difference In America And If We Cannot Protect Our Economy And Jobs Then Scrap Them completely.

Now Is The Time To Work On Creating A Real Educational System In Our Country. A System That Teaches The Student In Ways That Encourages Thought, That Sparks That Wonder Of Never Getting Enough Knowledge. We Have To STOP "Teaching To The Test" (No Child Left Behind,) School System.

Now Is The Time To Fix Our Voting System And Take It Back From Privatization By Dibold, ESS and Other  Private Corporations, What's Wrong With Paper Ballots Counted By Human Hands?

09/25/08 Why Don't we use that $700 Billion Dollars to Help the people who are defaulting on their morages, rather then giving the money to Wall Street.

If we use a FDR style bailout by helping Main street keep their homes, by extending their loans and reducing their interest payments the in turn will not loose their homes there fore wouldn't that now make those "TOXIC ASSETS" Solvent as well as now that they will once again own their homes the will now spend more money in the Economy, a Trickle Up Economics. History shows it works. 

As I have said before If you give more money to someone who has so much money that they can't spend already, what makes you think that if you give them more of what they can't already spend, go out and spend what they already can't spend.

09/18/08  Everyone Including Alan Greenspan Keeps Saying This Is The Worst Financial Crisis That They Have Ever Seen... and Remember Alan Greenspan Lived Through The Last Republican Depression of 1929. 

This is a direct result of deregulation and the Republican party, that we now find ourselves at across road of do we do more of the same of deregulation or do we finally institute regulations again on them.

The Corporations and CEO's get to keep all the profits and Billions in pay and bonuses so much so that that they extracted every penny from the corporations they ran.

Why is it that they get to now leave the corporations they hollowed out and keep all the profits and stick us with the bill.

This bailout of these Corporations to the tune of what will be possibly be in the TRILLIONS of dollars now makes them the largest WELFARE QUEENS of all time.

The next time you need to borrow $10,00 from a bank lets see if the bank gives you an extra $5,000 and says by the way you don't need to make the payments, because our CEO's insist on making those payments for you.

08-07-08 Freddie Mac Loses $821 Million and Cuts Dividend

Oddly enough, even after posting a $841 Million loss (For the quarter that is) The markets tepidly dropped and has hovered only around a 20 to 50 point loss. Why is it not much larger??? Because as I told you about in an earlier publication... "And Still…Another Shell Game" because now their losses are backed by their blank check that they got in the last deal signed by George Bush. 

    Look for a lot more debt to be piled on to Us "We the people" to pay the bill for Corporate Malfeasance While they get to keep all the billions and billions in Profit, while we now get their debt offloaded to us through the back door.

    Why can't we just decide to say "We the people" think that what you do your responsible for. Go get the money back from the CEO's that made the BAD decisions that caused the loses in the first place.

 If they do not want to share the profits by paying a living wage or maybe provide full health care, and retirement benefits, after all you are working...for them and making all those billions of dollars for the corporation that they thing your not entitled to share in although they think that now you should share in their losses.

 The Markets started down today until George W. Bush decided to extend Multi billion... perhaps trillion-dollar transfer of wealth from the public treasury to the Filthy Rich.

You know that top 1% of the population, that some how you conservatives think, pay way too much money in taxes. The very same people who’s idea of trickle down economics is to Piss on your head and tell you, don’t worry prosperity is just around the corner. I’ve heard that now for the last 30 plus years starting with Ronald Reagan.

After you deduct everything that you owe like your mortgage balance, your credit card payments, and other major loans then compare that to your savings… how much is left that you own outright?

How is that trickle down economics working out for you now?

Markets shoot up as Bush Agrees to sign a 3.9 billion dollar aid to homeowners and... a BLANK CHECK TO THE BANKS THAT COULD EXCEED 3 TRILLION DOLLARS.

The homeowners get a cheaper mortgage, now that they paid the bulk of the interest up front and the new loan includes NEW interest on top of the old interest already paid, and the banks get to borrow the money in totally unlimited amounts, that they lend to the government, to cover self created losses while they get to keep the homes and property, which more than offsets the interest difference from what they borrow to what they lend. Now because we the people got hoodwinked back in 1913 when we PRIVATIZED our money and let the Federal Reserve deal with the countries money, we now borrow the money from the same people that say that they are broke…THE BANKS!!!!

So let’s understand this together, we borrow the 3 TRILLION PLUS from the banks who have no money that is why we are borrowing it to give it to the banks that are broke so we can in turn give it the homeowners who in turn give it back to the banks that now collect interest from The US Government, and the Homeowners and the banks get to pay back… Nothing!!!

Oh sure on paper it looks like they are borrowing the money but look closer. First they created the Massive housing bubble, much like the 1920’s then they collected the bulk of the interest upfront on the loans that they made and in some cases even the house. Now while they still have you’re house they claim that they lost money and need to borrow money but rather then lend it to themselves they let the government borrow the money from them, (with interest of course), so that the government can give it back to the banks, to subsidies their self created losses…but now… after all the CEO’s VP’s and managers have absconded with billions if not trillions in Bonus and Golden bail outs they now shift the debt over to us we the people.

“They are Internalizing the Profits and Externalizing the debt”.

What’s happening now reminds me of a scene from an old movie. There were two people in a lawyers office settling a divorce, one lawyer starts describing the terms of the settlement that divides everything equally between the two parties. He starts out that his client gets the bank accounts, and the house; your client gets the mortgage payments. His client gets the cars, your client gets the payments, and my client gets the diamonds from their diamond mines. When the other lawyer asks what does my client get from the diamond mine the first lawyer replies… Oh your client gets the shaft. 

It is Equal in a twisted sort of way. One gets all the positives, while the other gets an equal amount but in a Negative. Equal… Yes... Fair... No One Said Anything About Fair.

What I think is happening is that the wealthy are Playing "Jenga" (Milton Bradley Game) with the market. There is a good chunk of the market now with retirement accounts, that for the most part will not be too quick to pull their money because they have been told that "they are in it for the long haul", so while the wealthy are quietly pulling their money out leaving only the the retirement funds holding up what is left of the market, till it falls apart. We the people are now beeing piled up to make a cushion for the wealthy to land on when the "New Great Republican Depression" hits, except this time the wealthy get all the money and we get the bill.

Here's the thing though, If we the little guy are left holding all the stocks, and I know that GM will be worth $.02 or next to nothing, does that not mean although we will be completely broke and living in our cars and Refrigerator Boxes that we the people will OWN the companies?

So why can't we than bring all our jobs back from over seas, after all it will be our company to higher and fire who ever we want, including the CEO's. Why can't we just say that CEO's will never be paid more than say 10 Times that of the average worker? Why can't we decide to build that electric car? or a car that gets 150 mpg?

Just think about what can be don with countless billions of dollars put back into the company, rather than into the pockets of a handful of people. Just think of what can be done  for the workers, like a living wage, with pensions, with health care. we could invest in R&D to improve the company, and it's products.

Just maybe we can once again find a real CURE for diseases, rather than just manage them, because management is soooooooooooooooooooo much more profitable than curing!

07-08-08  OK now that we all were all kicked in the teeth and made to suck lemons, with the passing of extending the role of government intrusion in direct defiance of the bill of rights, and in-peculiarly the 4^th amendment of the Constitution, with the passing of the new FISA bill. Well it’s time to make lemon aid.

There’s a matter of hundreds of thousands of missing RNC e-mails… well guess what?  Congress can now subpoena them direct from the telecoms, we know that they trapped every single email and phone call from before 2001!

It’s time to call our Senators and Congressmen @ (1-202-225-3121)and demand that they do just that.

While their at it maybe they should also get the records from Karl Rove, and Ken Blackwell.

    Now after 30 years of Reagan era economics and Bush ( Daddy and Jr.) economics who combined borrowed and spent your future, your children future and your grandchildren’s future to the tune $580,000 dollars for every family in this country, now the great answer is go swindle your parents out of their life saving to pay for their Grandchildren’s education, because you can’t afford to pay for a simple thing like an education that in the 40’s and 50’s and 60s and 70’s anyone could afford …FOR THEMSELVES!

05-17-07 Interesting Fact. Why is the mainstream media continues to talk about Giuliani and McCain with the follow up of what Mitt Romney said and disregards the other candidates, so much so that we are told that no one else has a chance in hell of winning. So Why is it that by the MSNBC news poll taken before and after the debate shows the exact opposite. Giuliani Before had a 41% approval 25% undecided and a 34% negative After the debate Giuliani Fell to a 22% approval, 35% undecided and a 41% negative. The same holds true for McCain Before 31%approval, 29% undecided, and 41% negative, and After 18% approval, 34% undecided, and 42% negative.

Now oddly enough the one candidate we are told hasn't got a chance in hell of winning is Ron Paul who had the most dramatic up turn in his approval ratings. His numbers before 9% approval, 44% undecided and 47% negative, while after the debate 41% approval, 34% undecided and 24% negative

What this shows me is that when people just listen to what the candidates have to say in full and not just sound bites and without the news, spinning the contents Ron Paul is the clear runaway winner winner. BUT yet the main stream news tells us ignore the issues, DON'T look at the facts, "Ron Paul is not the candidate you are looking for".

Could it be because Ron Paul sounds more like a Progressive candidate, or better yet, a candidate cut from the founders cloth...A LIBERAL!!!

05-07-07 Had enough? Am I the only guy in this country who's fed up with what's happening? Where the hell is our outrage? We should be screaming bloody murder. We've got a gang of clueless bozos steering our ship of state right over a cliff, we've got corporate gangsters stealing us blind, and we can't even clean up after a hurricane much less build a hybrid car. But instead of getting mad, everyone sits around and nods their heads when the politicians say, "Stay the course."

Stay the course? You've got to be kidding. This is America, not the damned Titanic. I'll give you a sound bite: Throw the bums out!

You might think I'm getting senile, that I've gone off my rocker, and maybe I have. But someone has to speak up. I hardly recognize this country anymore. The President of the United States is given a free pass to ignore the Constitution, tap our phones, and lead us to war on a pack of lies. Congress responds to record deficits by passing a huge tax cut for the wealthy (thanks, but I don't need it). The most famous business leaders are not the innovators but the guys in handcuffs. While we're fiddling in Iraq, the Middle East is burning and nobody seems to know what to do. And the press is waving pom-poms instead of asking hard questions. That's not the promise of America my parents and yours traveled across the ocean for. I've had enough. How about you?

I'll go a step further. You can't call yourself a patriot if you're not outraged. This is a fight I'm ready and willing to have.

My friends tell me to calm down. They say, "Lee, you're eighty-two years old. Leave the rage to the young people." I'd love to -- as soon as I can pry them away from their iPods for five seconds and get them to pay attention. I'm going to speak up because it's my patriotic duty. I think people will listen to me. They say I have a reputation as a straight shooter. So I'll tell you how I see it, and it's not pretty, but at least it's real. Huckabee…”We are facing a rising threat from China and Iran…” Well it was you Republicans who sent almost all our Manufacturing jobs to China that gave them the money to become a threat. So therefore you the Republican Party are the Threat to America with your Pro Corporate policies.

Suddenly everyone needs to be closer to God at election time. It’s not faith that’s important; it’s our belief in human treatment of other human beings. A strong or over zealot belief in faith can lead a politician to make decisions for a select few in their belief system, rather than what is best for everyone no matter what their faith. Because an atheist does not believe in a supreme benign, does not mean that they do not believe in the human treatment of fellow human beings, rather than the religions belief is, if they intentional or unintentionally screw up and kill people you, only need to confess to another person who never at any time had a conversation with their God they can now have even more power then the deity they profess to speak for and they will now forgive you in Gods name.

The Republicans answer to the corruption in the Republican Party. “There is corruption in the Democrat Party with money in their freezer"... So let’s see that's 20 Republicans either indicted or already found guilty on charges of Perjury, Corruption, and bribery to the tune of Billions of dollars, which when pilled up it would create a small mountain that you can see it from Space! Thanks to the helping hand of Jack Abamoff,  which is still leading to further Republican scandals and arrests of even more Republicans. But so far the “Score is Republicans 20 Democrats 1… in this case the high score is the looser.

As to taxes we need to eliminate Capitol gains, we need a flat tax, the same old mantra that has created the massive disparages that now after 6 years of Republican tax polices that has shifted 90% of all the wealth in America to the top 1%.

McCain will appoint a Democrat to his cabinet, and he was not bashful about naming Joe Lieberman. News flash there McCain Joe Lieberman is an independent. Lieberman quit the Democratic Party last year when he lost the Democratic primary’s to become an Independent. Joe was then elected by a Republican Majority in Connecticut. Good choice their John… Joe is not even a DINO (Democrat in name only).

Now…NOW…NOW… NOW!!! The Republican Party after nearly 30 years of passing laws that have gutted our country of nearly all our middle class jobs now they think that it should be stopped. Pleas don’t become a doctor, because if I came to you with a hangnail at the age of 45, you would have to dig up my corps to treat me after I died of old age by the time you figured out what was wrong and decided to treat me.

When asked about the exact number of injured or killed in Iraq the Republican answer was, “3000 lost and several thousand injured… The exact number according to the DOD is 3,358 Killed and 25,090 wounded.

The answer to stop illegal immigrants from coming into America is for Americans to give up even more of your rights and privacy with a national ID card. What ever happened to needing a Social Security number when you went for a job? Well at least they did not blame us poor working slobs… you know that “doing the jobs that Americans won’t do” thing.

When asked about a pardon for Libby?  Libby is not guilty an anything but a bad memory, so he should be pardoned. This answer speaks volumes on it’s own.

McCain when asked about Supreme Court Judges…”Hillary will cause the Courts to turn shapely to the left, with activist judges”. What about the 2000 court that was mostly appointed by a Republican president, that performed the ultimate act of Activist Judges lead by Request, with a decision that went against every tenet of the American Judicial principals of “The needs of the many ought weigh the needs of the few”. Read the Judgment that stated “The counting of the votes will cause irreparable harm to George W. Bush”, what harm could that possibly be…? Oh that’s right a year later when all the votes were counted George LOST!!!

In closing, as I said before, now that these hacks have trashed the Republican Party and actually lived up to their promises of the Republican platform they are now trying to act like the Democratic platform, belongs to them.

05-03-07 The New Old Line Is Back...  What is it you ask?

It’s wait …I’m one of you, but you left me!

You see the other day I was listening to the radio and there was a conservative, who explained it this way,

“I use to be a Democrat, but the party moved so far to the lift that I found myself on the right”.

So what he’s saying is that you and everyone else became a Communist while he never changed.

It’s your fault that everything turned to shit, and not the Conservatives who have been running the country for 24 of the last 30 years.

It’s your fault that there is 20 million illegal immigrants in America, because they are doing the jobs that YOU don’t want to do.

It’s your fault that your job was shipped over seas because you wanted to get paid more than $1.00 a day.

05-01-07 Last night on my way home the price of regular gas in my area was $3.08 a gallon. This morning when I went out it was now $3.26 a gallon. Now what caused this sudden spike? Bush did not invade Iran, Saudi Arabia was still best buds with the Bush Family, There was no major tanker disaster... So what gives? 

    Well it seems that George W. Bush decided to remove the restrictions on drilling for oil in environmentally sensitive areas, so what better way is there to drum up support is to go back to the tried and true bag of tricks and play the "Fear Card".

 You Jack up the price of gas and then shout out WE NEED MORE OIL, SO WE HAVE TO DRILL THE CARIBOU. 

    Why is it that whenever George is confronted with still another example of his screw-ups, rather than trying to figure out what he did wrong, and try to correct it, he just lives up to the text book definition of an insane person and does the same thing over again. 

    The price of oil is going up because there is only so much of it, and it's running out. Say George why not give out tax credit to average American tax payer for installing Solar panels on their homes. 

    After all George as you put it so many times in the past when you wanted to sell you tax cut packages, "IT'S OUR MONEY"!!! So why don't you GIVE OUR MONEY BACK TO US RATHER THAN SOME BIG CORPORATE OIL COMPANY!!!

When George vetoed the spending bill and said that he was going to meet with a bipartisan group tomorrow, shall we take bets that Joe Lieberman will be there?

04-19-07  Two More People to add to the Impeachment List, according to the Republican mantra of “They Lied”. In their hearings to be appointed to the Supreme Court both judges were asked very directly about overturning the laws regarding Abortion. Both responded that when reviewing any law they would respect stare decisis. Simply put it means that once a case was decided by a previous court and became settled law they would not look to overturn it.

 In a 5-4 decision Roberts and Alito voted to change the law, and in doing so lied to Congress, and the American people.

We need to add these two to the list or people to be impeached, before the damage inflicted on the American people By the Bush Administration continues long after George goes back to “cutting brush” in his retirement.

On a side note when George was asked what he thought about the decision.

George, the man who to date is responsible for the death of over 700,000 innocent civilians in his quest for black gold.

George, the man along with the Republican Party by their own omissions lied us into a war with Iraq, for first they conflated 911 and Iraq, but once the Killing started they then said "Iraq had nothing to do with 911". 

George, the man who has now killed over 3309 American solders on a pack of lies, with daily body counts sounding like the news reports of the 60's Vietnam death tolls.

George, who most assuredly has killed and will continue to kill thousand of Americans here at home by refusing to deal with a national health insurance plan…

 That same George said about the new law “The Supreme Court’s decision is an affirmation of the progress we have made over the past six years in protecting human dignity and upholding the sanctity of life. We will continue to work for the day when every child is welcomed in life and protected in law.”

As Randy Rhodes puts it "Love the Fetus Hate the child".

As I would put it ", Confuse the issues, Divide the nation, Plunder the Treasury"!

04-17-07  I just read an interesting article in the NY Times called For Illegal Immigrants, Housing Slump Takes Toll. What they talk about is illegal immigrants working in construction jobs at wages of $25.00 to $35.00 an hour.

Now just stop…take a deep breath... and listen very carefully.

Ready now…

Weren’t we being told by the Republican Party and George W. "Bust", that these illegal immigrants were “Doing the jobs the Americans won’t do”! You Know like picking lettuce, or “cor-r-rn”, as our “leader” likes to say.

Now if I’m not mistaken when I was a kid, a construction job was considered one of the best jobs you could get in America!

I wonder when Americans walked away from wanting a job that pays $25.00 to $35.00 an hour.

Another item in the article if you read between the lines is that the amount of unemployment related to the housing industry shows barely any change.

Now clear your head and ponder what that means…

Got it?

For those of you a little slower on the uptake what it means is this. The housing industry is one of the largest employment fields in the country, now you had a severe decline in the construction of new homes but yet the unemployment statistics show everything is just “hunky dory”. Now why is that?

Because that means that illegal aliens are taking almost all the jobs in the construction field that pay $25.00 to $35.00 an hour, and because they are illegal, they get paid off the books and they never show up as a worker in the first place! They were never there...even though you see them remember "These are not the droids you are looking for".

DON'T YOU!!!

04/13/07   The Question now that a very large majority has now seen the great lie that was foisted on the American people by the Republican Party.

The question is will the American people as a whole will not vote a republican into power before we have the time to correct all the damage they have done, before they resume the assault on America on behalf of their large corporate donor base.

  They have systematically outsourced nearly all our manufacturing jobs, computer tech jobs, farming, and the jobs that they could not outsourced to another country, they have allowed illegal aliens to come into the country to work for lower wages hear at home in America. And not knowing who any of the 20 million illegal aliens are I am sure is doing wonders for our national security... But Lead by George W. Bush the and Republican Party, they continue to take away the rights of American Citizens telling us that it is for national security while ignoring 20 Million Illegal aliens, so that corporations can continue to make even larger profits.

 Did you ever wonder why if a corporation use to pay an American worker $15.00 an hour and charge you $15.00 for a “T” shirt made in America, and now that they have outsourced the job to someone that they now pay $1.00 a day, haven’t you wondered why the “T” shirt now cost $14.99. Where is all that money that the corporation are saving? Where is the countless hundreds of millions of dollars in profits they are making every year on foreign labor compared to American labor?

In the CEO’s pockets that’s where!

So how is this assault on the Americans way of life good for the average working family?

04-09-07   On the News Hour I just caught the end of an interview, the question the person was answering was about America’s favorability in the world. He answered that well we are not liked in Europe, and not in the Middle East, and not in the Americas. But however China loves us, but weather it is good or bad history will answer that in another 50 years.

  Well I don’t need 50years to answer that question.

Let’s see he said Europe, Arabic countries, the America’s do not like us or to be more specific this administration.

But what do they have in common?

Arabic countries don’t like us. The selling arms to Iraq, Iran, Israel, Jordan, etc. probably has nothing to do with it. Maybe they don’t like us because they remember when we along with the British interfered in their countries politics for over 100 years. Maybe they remember that we supplied weapons to Iraq and Iran so that they could fight each other.

It most certainty has nothing to do with the destabilization in the region with all those weapons floating around as well. 

Then there is the tiny little matter that we attacked Iraq and are now planning to attack Iran.

Now as to the Americas maybe they still remember Iran Contra, or America’s war on drugs, in South America, that was just a strong-arm tactic to control the drug trade to make Iran Contra possible.

And as to Europe… Well they’re a group of Democratic countries.

Let me put it this way, it’s a pretty sad day when the other Democratic countries in the world are upset with this administration and the only friend we have is China…

China a Communist Country…

The same China that now has most of our jobs thanks in large part to the policies of this administration and the corporate greed that funds the Republican Party…

China likes us, well Whoop De Do, now that is saying something!

And what it’s saying, you don’t need 50 years to see that it is not good!

04-03-07 Here's a historical prospective for you. Man as a whole has waged war against each other from our very beginning. From a time before Islam, or Christianity, or any religion, or belief system. Religion has only given man a curtain to hide the face of prejudice and greed behind.
 

There has been the rise of one Empire after another.  Each claiming the same mantel of justification, that "we must kill them before they kill us, for God is on our side". 

The reality... each Empire wanted the resources of the country they invaded. That is exactly what this is about, it's all about oil. It's about those who will control it. It's about people on both sides lying to everyone so that the masses can be convinced to hate the other side.

  Why is it small children of all race and religions play together and get along? Can it be because they do not know the meaning of religion, money, or power?
  If you feel so strongly against the Islamic people then why is it, there was no outrage when this president was committing the lives of Americans to bring, freedom and Democracy to Iraq, which the last time I looked that country was mostly Islamic.

  So which is it save them or bomb them, you can't have it both ways, because once you bomb them there is no one left to save!

   Maybe when we stop allowing a handful of people from using hate and fear and the power of a military to plunder the wealth of other countries, so it can be taken by the few, maybe perhaps then there will be peace.
  Until then it seems that it is up to the few to try to bring reason and peace to the many.

04-02-07 The next time you hear a news reporter or better yet a politician say something along the lines that "we need to develop a more competitive work force". Remember that what they are really saying is that Americans need to work for lower wages. 

Think about it,... when you hear the phrase to describe a sale, "competitive prices", don't that means that the prices will be cheaper!

Now, doesn't mean that  you are expected to work for less money, or less benefits, or both,...  Maybe that's why there are over 20 million illegal aliens in our country. If you can't bring the job to the other country's to do, then I guess that the corporate world decided to bring the other countries work force here to America, along with their lower wages. Not only for them but for all of us as well. After all "we need to develop a more competitive Cheaper wage work force".

03-29-07 The Bush Administration is a perfect example of what happens in a democracy when it's citizens abdicate their responsibilities to a government that was founded "By the people, and for the people". 

We have  allowed the robber barons to sack our democratic ideals and replace them with capitalism which is a monetary system that sees only profit as it's reason to exist, at the exclusion of everything else, including people.

03-17-07  Two things that when remembered need to be remembered together.

First, about Walter Read and the deplorable conditions that exist there.

Second, that Walter Read and other services to the VA were outsourced to private corporations.

Now my take on the news reporting that Dan Quail sit on board of directors was not used as a slur against the Republican Party or Dan Quail, it was said so that you smack your head and go well no wonder why it’s so bad, look who is running the show. After all Dan Quail was the original Politician who paved the way for George W. Bush, you know the “C” student that lives up to our low expectations.

I think that it was said so that you dismiss the real reason of the problem, which namely is the fact that a private corporation is running the show and the bottom line is profit, not responsibility to the veterans, the people that they serve.

We need to change the laws back that controls how corporations are run.

03-15-07 More common Sense From The Radical Middle

We Must Take This Band Of Thieves Lead By George W. Bush And Put Them On Trial, For Their Crimes Against The World, And The American People. Then once convicted, they should be held accountable for the maxim extent of the law, with no leniency.

After all are they not the ultimate role model?

If we can imprison someone for using pot, which is a victimless crime, or Lock some one up who steals a buck from a single individual, then why not those who created a nation that now is the largest supplier of Heroin on the planet! Someone who has now stolen Hundreds of Billions of dollars from We the people of America to fund a corporate war for oil, and power. Someone who uses the Money of We the people like a private piggy bank to pay off their friends, and in the process are now responsible for the death of millions of people, through war and through medical funding cuts and cuts in programs, like the VA, food stamps, housing, and research.

If we do not hold them accountable then we cannot hold anyone accountable in America ever again for committing any variation of a lesser crime in this country.

• (B) The President shall issue interpretations described by subparagraph (A) by Executive Order published in the Federal Register.

• (C) Any Executive Order published under this paragraph shall be authoritative (as to non-grave breach provisions of common Article 3) as a matter of United States law, in the same manner as other administrative regulations.

• (D) Nothing in this section shall be construed to affect the constitutional functions and responsibilities of Congress and the judicial branch of the United States.

Heard you on Air America tonight and went straight to the website - GREAT!! Keep up the necessary work of educating the public whether they like it or not.

I do have one small criticism, though. I hope this doesn't come across as picky and trivial, but the spelling and punctuation on the site leave something to be desired. Just two examples: "break" as in "break apart" is not spelled "brake" as in "stop"; and "liars" as in "republicans" is not spelled "lyres" as in "stringed instruments."
Besides that, there are a number of misplaced commas and capitals.

That's all. I have some extra time on my hands these days (is it obvious?) and would be happy to do some proofreading if you'd like.

    Bush said that he wants a guest worker program because it would be easer than rounding up illegal aliens and deporting them.

Where do I even begin with that pretzel logic?

Let’s just list them rather than try to list them in any kind of order.

As to this administrations belief that to protect Americans from terrorists they need to take away our rights, but we can just ignore the estimated 20 million people from other countries that are here illegally. People that we know nothing about and are not beholding to any American laws.

The idea just continues to lower wages here at home for every kind of job that employs them and with an estimated 20 million people that's an awful lot of jobs affected.

Did I mention that they are breaking several laws just being here, and their employers as well!

Now let’s just apply that logic to another crime, like say one that we spend Over 1 BILLION dollars a year on. So much time and resources on that we arrest someone every 41 seconds for.

We are arresting people for pot, a victimless crime. Pot that is the only Drug that can stop the advancement of Alzheimer's… Pot the original Prozac… Pot the drug that helps cancer patients, aids patients, Parkinson patients and people who suffer from chronic pain. 

We won’t even talk about the fact that hemp (which by the way won’t get you high, but is lumped together with pot, and considered by law to be as dangerous as heroin). Hemp can yield more useable paper products per acre that an acre of trees and at a much faster rate, in fact the constitution is written on hemp paper. Hemp can produce more useable ethanol than corn or other organic crops, per acre. Hemp... a more durable fiber product than cotton and the list goes on and on.

Maybe it’s still illegal because of the drug companies, the logging companies, the oil companies, and others. After all if you put a Prozac pill in the ground and water it you get…nothing. However if you plant a pot seed in the ground you get more pot. Good reason why drug companies want to stop it. 

So why don’t we just create a guest pot consumer program and stop arresting people who use pot and hemp, in any form, and no matter what you have heard Pot has never caused the death of even one person, except for maybe when a rope was made of hemp and you hang someone.

Say, I'll bet that we could use some of the idle police time to go after those illegal aliens! With that kind of arrest record of every 41 seconds, there would be no illegal aliens here in no time at all... or at least 26 years at the rate of 1 arrest every 41 seconds, which does not include any new people coming into the country.

Let's do something simple, like enforcing the immigration laws in existence. Let's go after the employers hiring the illegal aliens and the politicians who want to build hiring halls with public money so the illegal aliens can have a place to go and get a job for the day. 

I'm for building the halls, BUT ONLY If the hiring halls are staffed with the I N S, and the first real clue as to the persons immigration status is when they need an interpreter, because one of the requirements of citizenship is a working knowledge of the English language.

You Can’t Spend History…So George W. Don’t Care

It’s difficult not to say anything without seeming like I’m just pilling on to the stunning rebuke of this administrations policy by “the rabble, as John Adman’s like to call the middle class.

            So many pundits and George W. Bush himself talk about how history will view his presidency.

            Well November 7^th 2006 officially marked the death of any favorable remembrance at all, of his legacy, in history.

While a fair number of Americans were lead blindly to the edge of the abyss, with corporate rule and Fascism waiting at the bottom of the pit... Waiting to engulf America... When finally… at the very edge of the abyss, with rivulets of freedom and individual rights trickling into the crevasse, from under the feet of millions of Americans… America finally awoke from its long hypnotic trance. A trance induced by lies and threats of fear, and unspeakable hideous acts of evil, to be thrust upon America if we "make the wrong choice".

Finally either the lies became too big, or the fear became all too real... and that fear was finally seeing that you... you Mr. president are what we needed to be afraid of. You and all your cronies, and not the terrorist, were taking away everything that made us Americans.

You and your Republican Party were spending America into a 9 trillion dollar Abyss, and that does not even include the 400,000 Billion for the cost of the war so far, not the cost to rebuild the military, or the future cost to care for the estimated 25,000 wounded veterans returning home from your war of choice.

You and your Republican Party was condemning our sons and daughters and parents to die in a war that made the likes of you and your elk rich from the profits of war and oil.

You and your Republican Party made it all too easy for nearly every major corporation to shut its doors in America and send good paying American jobs over seas.

You and your Republican Party seen that none of your war profiteering friends would have to pay the cost, so you shifted the burden to the average American worker, while lying to their face and telling them you were giving them a tax cut, while, knowing that the state and local government would now have to raise their taxes many more times than the pitons you gave them in your so called tax cut.

Well Mr. President on November 7^th 2006 Americas collectively and abruptly stopped and turned back from that abyss, you were leading them into. Americans realizing that “stay the course” was not an option.

Americans Decided, They Were "The Deciders"... not you.

The tragedy is that in Reality George W. Bush does not care what history will say, for history is for the “rabble”.

What George cares about is how a hand full of people will remember him. To them George is a hero to be idolized.

Who are the people you might ask? They are in the 1% that 719,910 households in America with an average income of $326,000. They had 19.8% of the nations total per tax income.  And 129,000 households that is the elite 1/10^th of 1% of the American population that had an increase of 10% of there total income from 2004 to 2006. While everyone else saw only a 1.6% increase. In round numbers, $326,000 income increased by nearly $33,000. And the average working family making $40,000 got $640 before inflation.

That top 1%, are the ones that Gorge W. Bush and the Republican Party took out a credit card in the name of America, which is you and I and began charging 9 trillion dollars. Gorge W. Bush and the Republican Party mortgaged America so they could be the big man on campus with the unlimited bucks buying everything that they wanted for themselves and their friends.

Not for a Health care system for all Americans. Not to put in education. Not to fully fund the VA. Not to insure that our troops have proper body armor or armored vehicles, no not for one program that Americans wanted.

Gorge W. Bush and the Republican Party went on a spending spree to benefit that 1% of the population.

That’s a debt that will have to be paid, by not only us, but our children and grandchildren. They have made our children into indentured servants, to pay for their good time.

Mr. Bush does not care how history will speak of him, the only thing that matter to him is that is what that 1% think.

That 1/10^th of 1% that consider money the only history that maters and now that they have even more than before, they even have your money as well as the future earnings of your children’s money.

That is all that counts to George W. Bush, for history is for the “Rabble” and you can’t spend history.
